RED ALERT - DMCA 2024 Fourth of July and Labor Day Holidays

FOURTH OF JULY

The Fourth of July holiday is an unpaid holiday for all piping and plumbing employees in Local 300 contract areas.  Piping and plumbing employees are entitled to double time pay if they perform work on the holiday or recognized day.

All Local 300 Contract Areas: Bismarck-Minot, Fargo and Sioux Falls:
This year, the Fourth of July falls on a Thursday, July 4^th and will be observed on that day. If piping and plumbing employees perform work on Thursday, July 4^th, they are entitled to double time pay.

LABOR DAY

The Labor Day holiday is an unpaid holiday for all piping and plumbing employees in Local 300 contract areas. This year, Labor Day is Monday, September 2, 2024. That day is a holiday under all three Local 300 Labor Agreements in North and South Dakota.  Piping and plumbing employees are entitled to double time or triple time pay if they perform work on the holiday.

Bismarck-Minot, North Dakota and Sioux Falls South Dakota areas:

If a piping and plumbing employee performs work on Monday, September 2, 2024, they are entitled to double time pay in the Bismarck-Minot and Sioux Falls area contracts. 

Fargo North Dakota area:

If a piping and plumbing employee performs work on Monday, September 2, 2024, they are entitled to triple time pay in the Fargo area contract except for service work which will be paid at double time.
